Added a rail to my rifle and wanted to add a scope but keep the iron sights as a backup. These worked great, kept the iron sights and the end of the scope end right a the location where the iron sights sit. the Quick release keeps the scope in place and allows me to dismount the scope as needed. Have not test how well it re-zero's but that comes later. I needed to be able to quickly and easily change the glass. These rings are really very nice and heavy duty. You can adjust how tight the clamping force is, which would allow people of different strengths to use them. So far, after several changes, they have reliably held zero at 200/400 yds respectively.
