The cassette goes into the car's cassette player and the audio jack goes into a mobile device like a portable cd player, phone or mp3 player with an older audio output jack. So you can play from your portable device through the car's stereo. You have it the other way around. I like how all I have to did is connect to my my phone and it plays my music without any hesitation and eqivacation ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great *by V***A on April 11, 2020* The wire comes out on one end of the cassette-shaped device, so depending on the orientation of your cassette player in your car, the wire might be coming out the right side or you have to wrap it down the groove on the side of the device for the wire to feed out of the player and connect to your phone. I find that wrapping it down the groove can be a bit difficult, and you have to find the right position for everything to work perfectly. Other than that, decent sound! Not Bluetooth or AUX jack clear compared to my experiences, but good enough and great value for the price. Hasn’t broken down on me or been faulty, and comes in a nice box, too.
