Its pH-neutral formula safely cleans a variety of wheel finishes while the unique color-change activation visually confirms contamination removal. Supplied in a 5-liter bulk size, it’s perfect for enthusiasts and detailers seeking powerful, finish-conscious wheel care. ## Description SONAX Wheel Cleaner PLUS is made for heavily soiled wheels that need more than a basic wash. Its acid-free, pH-balanced formula targets stubborn brake dust, road grime and oily contamination while remaining suitable for common wheel finishes when used as directed. The ready-to-use cleaner clings to dirty wheel surfaces and changes color as it reacts with iron-containing brake-dust particles, providing a visible signal that the formula is working. Designed for demanding wheel-cleaning jobs, SONAX Wheel Cleaner PLUS helps loosen baked-on contamination that can collect around spokes, lug areas, barrels and brake components. The non acid wheel cleaner is especially useful on vehicles that create heavy brake dust, including performance-oriented and European vehicles, without requiring an aggressive acidic wheel cleaner. Its cleaning action helps reduce the scrubbing needed on routine grime while still allowing targeted agitation on stubborn areas. Use SONAX Wheel Cleaner PLUS on cool, dry wheels. Spray evenly across the wheel, allow the formula time to activate and watch for the characteristic red color change. Agitate areas with heavy buildup using a suitable wheel brush when necessary, then rinse thoroughly with a strong stream of water. Do not dilute the product and do not allow it to dry on the wheel. The pH neutral wheel cleaner is designed for clear-coated, painted, aluminum, anodized and stainless-steel wheel finishes when used according to directions. It provides detailers and enthusiasts with a focused brake-dust cleaning step that fits both regular maintenance and deeper wheel-care routines. For specialty or aftermarket finishes, test first in an inconspicuous area and follow the wheel manufacturer's care recommendations. This bulk package contains 5 liters (169.1 fl oz) for higher-volume wheel cleaning. For stubborn wheel buildup, it works as a brake dust remover wheel cleaner that combines visible activation with pH-balanced chemistry. ## Features - CLEANING POWER FOR DIRTY WHEELS: SONAX Wheel Cleaner PLUS is designed for heavy brake dust, oily road film and caked-on grime, giving enthusiasts and detailers a stronger cleaning step when a basic wheel wash is not enough. - NON ACID WHEEL CLEANER: The acid-free, pH-balanced formula targets contamination without relying on harsh acidic chemistry, making it a finish-conscious choice for demanding brake-dust and road-grime cleaning. - COLOR-CHANGE ACTIVATION: Watch the cleaner turn red as it reacts with iron-containing brake-dust contamination. The visible reaction helps show where the formula is working before you agitate stubborn areas and rinse. - FOR COMMON WHEEL FINISHES: Use as directed on clear-coated, painted, aluminum, anodized and stainless-steel wheels. The pH neutral rim cleaner helps combine deep cleaning with confident wheel-finish care. - SPRAY, ACTIVATE AND RINSE: Apply to cool, dry wheels, let the formula work, agitate heavy buildup when needed and rinse thoroughly. The ready-to-use formula should not be diluted or allowed to dry on the surface. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00VSTMS6G | | Best Sellers Rank | #194,672 in Automotive ( See Top 100 in Automotive ) #300 in Automotive Wheel Care | | Brand Name | SONAX | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 4.7 out of 5 stars (245) | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00854119004837 | | Included Components | ITEM | | Item Form | Spray | | Item Highlight | Bulk pH-neutral, color-changing wheel cleaner built for heavy brake dust, oily road film and stubborn grime on common wheels | | Item Type Name | Wheel Cleaner PLUS (5L) | | Item Volume | 453.75 cubic inches | | Item Weight | 12.8 pounds | | Manufacturer | SONAX | | Model Number | 2305050 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Part Number | 230505 | | Size | 169.1 Fl Oz (Pack of 1) | | Surface Recommendation | Aluminum, Metal, Plastic | | UPC | 814684020762 854119004837 | | Unit Count | 169.1 Fluid Ounces | ## Product Details - **Brand:** SONAX - **Item Form:** Spray - **Item Volume:** 453.75 cubic inches - **Surface Recommendation:** Aluminum, Metal, Plastic - **Unit Count:** 169.1 Fluid Ounces ## Images ![Wheel Cleaner PLUS, Non-Acid Brake Dust Wheel Cleaner, 5 Liter - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71R6s7sNZvL.jpg) ## Frequently Bought Together - SONAX Wheel Cleaner Plus 5L 230505 | Non-Acid Color Changing Formula for Effortless Removal of Brake Dust Grime and Dirt | Safe for All Wheels | Professional Strength Cleaner | 5L (169oz) - Sonax Wheel Cleaner Full Effect (230200) | Non-Acid Rim Cleaner | Color Changing Wheel Cleaner | Brake Dust Cleaner | Non-Acid Iron Remover | (500 ml or 16.9 fl. oz.) - SONAX Wheel Cleaner Plus 230400 | Non-Acid, Color-Changing Rim Cleaner for Brake Dust, Grime, and Dirt Removal | Safe for All Wheels and Finishes | Powerful Deep Cleaning Formula | 750ml (25oz) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/15491118-wheel-cleaner-plus-non-acid-brake-dust-wheel-cleaner-5](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/15491118-wheel-cleaner-plus-non-acid-brake-dust-wheel-cleaner-5) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-04*
