I had a chance to read a few parts of the book and here is my early view. in terms of organization, i think the book does an OK job of giving a broad but shallow overview of the majors that are available in the world. However, the amount of insight you gain by reading the 2-3 pages per major is somewhat limited. I understand that the authors are trying to cover the breadth instead of going in-depth. The second (and the larger) section of the book lists the college in _every_state_ for each major. While this information is interesting, it is hard to make use of the same. Key classification provided with each college is if they offer an associate/certification/undergrad/masters degree. Some of the common topics (e.g. Accounting) has pages of college names and it becomes daunting to figure out what to do with that information overload.It is nearly a 1000 page volume and a typical end user will possibly end up using 10-20 pages of this book. Perhaps this may be a better book to browse "online" . ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best for kids in high school or early college who want to switch majors. *by R***9 on Reviewed in the United States on February 24, 2014* It's very informative and helpful whether you're about to go to college or in college and trying to figure things out. I would recommend getting it for someone or yourself early on in high school because it contains SAT and high school class info for what you should do in high school to prepare for any particular major. You can get it while you're in college too if you want but after reading 50 or so pages out of it, one can see that it's clearly crafted for the audience of high school majors. I STUDY SYSTEMS ENGINEERING IN COLLEGE BUT DID NOT SEE IT. That's why they have a new updated one every year though. This will then help them with figuring which school has their major of interest.. As well as possible double major or minor if they choose. Most high school kids don't know what they want to be "when they grow up" or what interest them. There is a wealth of information at their fingertips to help guide them. There are also those, like my sophomore, that knows what he wants to do, but needs help figuring what major(s) it fits best under and possible double major or minor depending on how the school has it's courses configured.
