Fast drying and easy to apply, it delivers professional results at home, making it the go-to choice for leather restoration and customization. ## Description Angelus Leather Dye Angelus leather dye is a permanent liquid dye used for changing the color of all smooth leather articles. These dyes are guaranteed to penetrate the leather, and form a lasting color which will not peel or crack or wash off. They are excellent for re-coloring shoes, saddles, belts, purses, and much more. We strongly recommend preparing the leather with Preparer Deglazer. (The Preparer-Deglazer should never be used on vinyl.) Leather Dye can be thinned with the color Neutral. This dye has stronger pigment than all leather dyes on the market. It will not take much to dye your leather. ## Features - Tough dyes perfect for decorating and staining smooth leather, vinyl or anything permeable - Guaranteed to penetrate and form a lasting color - Will not rub off, crack, peel or streak once dry - Excellent for re-coloring shoes, saddles, belts, purses and much more - Preparing leather with Preparer Deglazer for better results (never use deglazer on vinyl) ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00FEQ48M6 | | Best Sellers Rank | #1,642,042 in Clothing, Shoes & Jewelry ( See Top 100 in Clothing, Shoes & Jewelry ) #64 in Shoe Dyes | | Brand | Angelus | | Brand Name | Angelus | | Color | Burgundy | | Compatible Material | Leather | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 out of 5 stars 191 Reviews | | Item Form | Liquid | | Item Weight | 3.04 ounces | | Manufacturer | Angelus | | Manufacturer Part Number | 50835 | | Model Number | 8542145466 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Unit Count | 3 Fluid Ounces | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Angelus - **Color:** Burgundy - **Compatible Material:** Leather - **Item Form:** Liquid - **Item Weight:** 3.04 ounces ## Images ![Angelus Direct Burgundy Leather Dye (Low VOC) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71hjMeRFoWL.jpg) ![Angelus Direct Burgundy Leather Dye (Low VOC) - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71wWFOJLw4L.jpg) ![Angelus Direct Burgundy Leather Dye (Low VOC) - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71PJFpuXzWL.jpg) ![Angelus Direct Burgundy Leather Dye (Low VOC) - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81jz059q8xL.jpg) ![Angelus Direct Burgundy Leather Dye (Low VOC) - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/8149Xr3T1fL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Does it stain rubber?** A: I imagine it would, though just based on the surface material in question I don't know that it would be very even on the finish or how penetrative it would be, if at all, which could have serious effects on its durability on said surface. **Q: Can this be used on a leather recliner** A: I just tried it on my couch (I just happened to have the right color) and it did not work. It wipes right off with water. There is a product that I am going to get for my couch to actually change the color completely if you go to either of the websites you will see videos of how it works. Go to "Leathertouchup.com" or the other one is "Leathermagic.com". These product look amazing. **Q: Which one has the darker red tone, oxblood or burgundy?** A: Burgundy is darker **Q: can it be used to dye a leather suitcase, thank you** A: The product is a leather dye. It should work on a leather suitcase if used as directed. ## Frequently Bought Together - Angelus Leather Dye (Burgundy) - Angelus Leather Dye, Permanent Leather Dye for Shoes, Boots, Bags, Crafts, Furniture, & More - 3 fl oz, Jet Black - Angelus Leather Preparer Deglazer 5oz --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/15266941-angelus-direct-burgundy-leather-dye-low-voc](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/15266941-angelus-direct-burgundy-leather-dye-low-voc) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-05*
