A: It certainly works to keep cats out of my garden so would assume it would work for puppies

A: it's very durable but ii think eventually a hamster  would chew through it.

this was just what I needed to kept my two small dogs from squeezing between the fence to my new lawn area. very easy to work with very pliable but durable. only negative is the cable ties supplied very flimsy to much tension to tighten and they break other than that 5 star

Bought this to cover a wrought iron gate to stop cats getting through and it does the job and looks good, easy to trim and attach with the supplied cable ties. I actually used the remainder as a membrane underneath part of a pebble pathway in the garden and it works even better than the recommended membrane.
