Review: Great product. - I’ve ordered this mesh for custom work and it’s a great product to work with and it’s consistent in shape and design. It may cost more to ship because it is packaged well and unlike a roll that you may be considering that’s cheaper you will be dealing with trying to flatten and straighten it out which will be a challenge from the start of your project that’s most likely has its own difficulties why add more. Also owner is very helpful and reachable. Review: Recommend ! - Love this product ! It was easy to work with, got this for a DLY project for rear deflector delete. Ended up spray painting it gloss black, this mesh was glue with goop automotive glue and I cut this to fit the size of my deflectors with a remmel tool, and so far has been holding up well. Love the finish product and will definitely buy more for future DLY projects. ## Features - 16" Tall x 48" Wide - 3003 Alloy Aluminum - Raw Thickness: ~ 0.065" / 14 Gauge - ~ 77% Open Area - Won't Rust & Easy to Cut ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00F3FJX5U | | Automotive Fit Type | Vehicle Specific Fit | | Best Sellers Rank | #1,104,598 in Automotive ( See Top 100 in Automotive ) #6,243 in Automotive Grilles | | Brand | customcargrills llc | | Brand Name | customcargrills llc | | Color | Silver | | Compatible with Vehicle Type | Car | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 out of 5 stars 86 Reviews | | Installation Type | Snap-On | | Item Highlight | 0.065 in thick aluminum; 1/4 in openings; raw aluminum finish; for car grille inserts, bumper openings and DIY fabrication | | Manufacturer | customcargrills llc | | Manufacturer Part Number | Perf_Hex_S16 | | Material | Aluminum | | Material Type | Aluminum | | Model Number | Perf_Hex_S6 | | Number of Items | 1 | | UPC | 701327256476 | | Vehicle Service Type | Car | ## Product Details - **Brand:** customcargrills llc - **Color:** Silver - **Installation Type:** Snap-On - **Material:** Aluminum - **Vehicle Service Type:** Car ## Images ![customcargrills Perforated Hexagon Aluminum Grille Mesh, 16 x 48 in, Silver - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61mXLt3kfdL.jpg) ![customcargrills Perforated Hexagon Aluminum Grille Mesh, 16 x 48 in, Silver - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/A1-zezQgcoL.jpg) ![customcargrills Perforated Hexagon Aluminum Grille Mesh, 16 x 48 in, Silver - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61hh6RgA62L.jpg) ![customcargrills Perforated Hexagon Aluminum Grille Mesh, 16 x 48 in, Silver - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/716iD-95CYL.jpg) ![customcargrills Perforated Hexagon Aluminum Grille Mesh, 16 x 48 in, Silver - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71cdwYSPeXL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size, Style** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Can it be used on a boat? Will it oxides?** A: Depending on the location, this could be used on a boat. The raw material is aluminum and will oxidize over time. **Q: How does it come shipped? Does it come in a flat sheet or rolled up. If it's rolled do you have the dimensions of the box?** A: Shipped, flat in a box. Mine came in a box a little larger than the grill. **Q: I'm replacing 12"x15" glass panels in my RV cabinet doors with a stiff steel mesh that can allow air through, are these rigid enough?** A: This material is aluminum and can be dented quite easily. I personal don't think it will hold up on your cabinet doors unless you are extremely carefully. **Q: Can this material be purchased in larger sizes? I would like a sheet at 32"x48. Thanks** A: 24 inches tall is currently the maximum height we stock this material. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great product. *by N***. on October 7, 2024* I’ve ordered this mesh for custom work and it’s a great product to work with and it’s consistent in shape and design. It is doing a great job of keeping bugs out of the transmission cooler, while allowing enough airflow for cooling to get through. Thanks for a great product. ## Frequently Bought Together - customcargrills 16"x48" Perforated Hexagon Grill Mesh Sheet - Silver - Shipped Flat, 1/4 inch hexagon hole opening, 0.065" thick raw Aluminum, Made in USA - customcargrills 16"x48" Perforated Hexagon XXL Grill Mesh Sheet - Silver - Shipped Flat, 0.45 inch hexagon hole opening, 0.065" thick raw Aluminum, Made in USA --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/15194133-customcargrills-perforated-hexagon-aluminum-grille-mesh-16-x-48-in](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/15194133-customcargrills-perforated-hexagon-aluminum-grille-mesh-16-x-48-in) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-11-04*
