Review: Wonderful haircut for my pal! - I have a cocker spaniel. Finally bought this gem and paid more yes....and beyond happy. My $50 pair I bought finally quit working and never was happy with them. A hair cut for my dog went from 1 1/2 hours or I'll finish it tomorrow to 35 mins! I just got done and yes only used once. I was only on 1st speed. Never even went to the 2nd speed. It did not get hot like other reviews might say, maybe towards the end a little warm but nothing that hurt him or me. Its a motor. It'll get a little warm. Nice long cord and the #10 worked great as I just shave him down. I don't do the cocker cut as I can't brush 20 times a day to get tangles out plus he gets hot with long hair. I admit I usually do two haircuts then back to the groomer for a real deal so yes I'm saving money in the long run. I'm no groomer but this was the best time he and I had as it wasn't loud running and truly like a hot knife through butter. Reminder only used once just a few mins ago and be back to get him next month sometime but these are built well. I only put a 4 star on weight. Its 2 pounds give or take and ounce but to me it's fine and I knew I had a genuine good product. Do yourself and your pup a favor and spend the extra money, clean the tool, and grease when needed.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: I have an AUSTRALIAN labradoodle with a wavy coat. I'm considering these clippers for home grooming. What else to get in addition to the clippers?**
A: doulble k 401 looks perfect and i see someone said something about scissors below. all i can say is be very, very careful. i have seen someone cut clean thru a dogs chest before. never pull the hair away from the dog and cut with scissors. just dump the scissors all together unless you are a professional. the clippers will take care of the face just fine.

**Q: Do the blades get hot fast,I have seen this mentioned on other less known sites**
A: Yes, the blades do warm up quickly, but they cool quickly also. using a hot blade can burn your pet & ruin the bade. DO NOT USE WD-40 or CAR OIL! that will definitely RUIN the blade & the clipper. Only use clipper oil and proper blade cleaner and coolant. They aren't expensive. Andis makes a Blade care that is a lubricant, disinfectant, & coolant all in one - that is your best bet for home use. (30 Yr Professional Master Groom & Boutique Owner)

**Q: what blades come with clipper purchase?**
A: #10 only

**Q: I have standard poodles, who have gotten matted. Will these clippers work on that type of thick coat? Cheaper clippers are useless.**
A: Yes. These are NOT cheap clippers. Be sure to get some cooling spray, as the blade gets hot on big jobs. You'll find yourself grooming them regularly once you have these. And on two standard poodles, they're less expensive than a grooming trip for your pups. But these clippers cut through mats like butter.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect for curly haircuts!
*by S***E on August 2, 2019*

I have a cocker spaniel/poodle mix who is over 16 years old. The groomer will no longer take him because of his age so I ordered these clippers after reading reviews. I had some less expensive ones years ago and they wouldn't cut his curly hair. They pulled and he would have none of it. These clippers are amazing! So easy to cut his hair - not terribly loud either. They didn't get as hot as I expected so we were able to do most of it in one sitting. As you can see, we didn't finish as he was ready for a break but it did a great job. I am by no means a professional and I hope to get better but as long as he is cooler, I am good with it. These clippers are well worth the investment. I have spent 50 bucks every 5 or 6 weeks to get him groomed. After a few cuts at home, we will have made our money back.
