Outside in the heat? No way these ice packs are a joke. **Q: Is the volume of "liquid" in each of these small enough to carry on an airplane?** A: I'm not sure how much the liquid is in the chillers by volume, but I would guess that it is. Though I'm not sure what the rules are when it is in a frozen state since technically, it's no longer a liquid. You'd probably have to check with the TSA on that. **Q: Where are these made?** A: I have looked all over the ice pack and I could not find where it was made. There are things like :non toxic, do not put in dishwasher, wash only with soapy water. What I did not see was "Made in China". So I really don't know for sure. I have other ice packs that stated they were made in China, so maybe these are not. They are thin so they don't take up too much room in the lunch kit and they are fairly light so they don't add a ton of weight either.
