As of 8/29/2016, this is the complete unit as pictured. I believe that C. Harrison is right, you can also select just the replacement headset which some of the other buyers have done, thus the confusion.Edwin and Jack are wrong. As the description states "Dialpad Headset Telephone". I connect this to my home phone line. It acts just like a phone. I can dial out and receive calls. The only difference is that it has a headset instead of a handset. It does *not* require Cisco or any other SIP, and does not "clip onto your belt"It works well for me on a daily basis for dialing into customer calls. **Q: will this headset plug into a desk phone or do i have to buy it with the dial pad** A: This is a complete phone; headset and dialpad. You can unplug the headset from the dialpad and use it separately on another phone *if* that phone uses an *RJ11 connector* and not a 2.5mm jack. **Q: Is this headset compatible with the grandstream gxp1625?** A: Not sure I use a polycomm unit **Q: Is "speaker" feature necessary on desk phone for this headset to work? wondering how calls will be answered and discontinued without using handset.** A: Short answer no. I have neck problems and it is helping a lot not to have to hold the phone with my shoulder all day. ### ⭐ You get what you paid for: ~50% fail within a few months *by N***. on February 8, 2019* I bought quite a few of these (8 binaural and 9 monaural model) AGP headsets over the past couple of years; they rarely fail to fail within a few months, some within weeks - a couple made it through a year+ The sound quality is usually OK - but often degraded with our side the main suspect. I tried - once - to activate the warranty, but found out I have to send this $13-$14 item back, at my own expense, to be examined and only then may receive a replacement. The current warranty term/coverage is a joke. So, if you're OK with a low-cots item of passable quality that will most likely fail within 3 months under medium usage - this is the headset for you! I'm very happy for the 4-5 star reviewers here that - evidently - had great luck with their purchase. PS - If you want a pile of 10 of these with a variety of issues (can't hear other side, other side can't hear you, sound suddenly goes in and out etc.), I'll gladly let you have it (for delivery fees; I would like to keep the seller's standards!) Quick update: Had to lower my review to a single star, as a recent batch started failing within weeks. Naturally, by the time the user reported that everybody calling hear an echo - it's been 6 weeks and I can't return (yet another) faulty unit. So, failure percentage remains high - and support/warranty nonexistent.
