Though is does weighs 21.6 lbs.; as opposed to only 13 lbs. for the Explorer 500. Hope all this helps. :) **Q: Will this support my 12volt 50 watt compressor fridge?** A: In theory it will run it for 10 hours. In reality the fridge will cycle and you'll probably get about 3X that much time. (assume the fridge is in the shade and about 80 degrees) Most fridges will run about 30% of the time. If you put in in an insulated bag (if available for your model) you'll get more efficiency. You can also throw a beach towel over it. (just don't block the vests) you'd be surprised how much that helps. I gave this a much longer review but Amazon has not published it yet.
