Review: Nice gig! - In my pictures I've added wrap to the handle as noted below! The gig is great for wading and gigging. Its lightweight and easy to carry. With only 1 point it moves effortlessly through the water when your gigging and easily penetrates flounder. It makes it easier to target the head so you get a nice stick. If you dont get the head I just reach down and grab the flounder. No barb makes it easy to remove the flounder. I typically gig over sandy/mud bottoms with oysters occasionally. I've had not problem with the durability if the gig. NOTE: I have modified the pole and wrapped it in nylon twine for grip.
