Would my 4yo and i be able to sleep with it while camping?** A: He sure would **Q: How does this blanket do in zero degree weather?** A: The blanket will be just fine. If you're under it, you'll freeze your twig and giggle berries off. Zero degrees is 32 degrees less than freezing. There's a reason there are pictures of this blanket on the beach and not the frozen tundras. **Q: Does grass stick to the fleece?** A: I purchased this blanket last summer, August 2019. I enjoy spending time outdoors, and I was wanting something that would be nice to sit on and or lay on when relaxing on the ground. First, let me say the extra thick fleece. I don’t particularly agree with that statement. To me it’s more like a flannel material. Then again I think I may have been expecting something akin to Sherpa fleece, think winter coat. That is not what this blanket is. In all fairness, it is fleece, just not maybe what I had expected thickness wise. I have always used the blanket with the fleece side up, off of the ground. Yes, grass or whatever pine tree needles, etc. will stick to the fleece. It can be shook out to remove the worst of them. However, knowing that I was going to be using this blanket outdoors, things sticking to the fleece wasn’t my biggest concern. Mine was, is it truly water proof? And will it be comfortable? This is where I admit that I love soft, plush blankets. I have them on my bed and I keep soft, plush throw blankets on hand to wrap up in when I am at home. This blanket, obviously, is not that kind of blanket. That’s not what I wanted anyways. However, it works perfectly for what I wanted it for, I have been very satisfied with it. The blanket is easy maintenance. I toss it into the washer and dryer, just like any other blanket. When the weather warms up, it will once again be a staple in the trunk of my car. My opinion was, any material that isn’t slick will allow grass or whatever to stick to it. I always shook it out well before folding it up and putting it back into my car. P.S.- The remaining pine needles or whatever, I was able to easily hand pick off. **Q: Are these washer and dryer safe?** A: Yes, they are washer safe. We recommend washing our blankets on a delicate cycle with cold water. Sure, we booked dog-friendly motels, but this princess needs to be on a couch or bed, so the blanket protected the upholstery or/and bed, as she slept on the waterproof side (keeping fur off the bed). When we hit the 9000ft altitudes of Colorado and were staying in a travel trailer on a lake, we used it to keep us warm at night sitting around the fire (and yes, it is large enough to fit around 2 adults comfortably).
