Use the fertilizer/ water ratio the company gives. I have a water meter. A great investment for $10. Otherwise put your finger about 1 inch into the soil to determine when water is needed. Mine is a couple years old and as soon as I watered with it, my petunias wilted.** A: I have used mine this year that has to be at least 2 years old. No problems.
