My use for both is to allow me to keep my windows down while using my 4Runner for camping without being eaten by bugs. The old sheets of netting did the job, but they were a bit of a hassle to use. Not the case with these! They were put to the test for 3 nights in the wild right next to a creek and lots of flies and mosquitoes. They worked flawlessly and I love them! As a bonus, they also serve as a sunshade to a good degree and help keep the interior of the vehicle cool. Think of them like a really big stocking. You just open the car door, slide it over the top and down below the level of the window. Then close the door and open the window however far you want it. It literally takes only about 30 seconds per window to install. They come with a small pouch and take up very little space when stored. These would fit in your back pocket without a lot of effort. The material seems sturdy and the elastic band is wide enough to do a good job of staying tight to the door. If you had a weird shaped door, you could also use magnets on top of the elastic to hold it tighter. It was not necessary with my vehicle, but YMMV. I strongly recommend this product and will buy again for other vehicles I own. Review: Nice product easy to put on - Fit perfect on my expedition will find out more as I use them for camping. Just like an oversized pillow case. The size I purchased was X-Large ## Features - XXXL-TRUCK SIDE Window Sun Shades - Fits Extra-Large Windows (1 Pair): Designed for trucks and large SUVs with side windows measuring 23"-24" high x 48"-50" wide; Made of ultra-stretchy nylon-spandex mesh that fully covers oversized truck windows; Important: Measure your window including door frame before purchasing (Not compatible with sliding van doors or rainy-day use) - QUICK and Secure SLIP-ON Installation – No Suction Cups Needed: These stretchable sunshades feature a heavy-duty elastic band for a tight fit without suction cups; Crafted from premium 40D nylon-spandex mesh for effortless pulling; A must-have trucking accessory for drivers who spend long hours under the sun - SUN, HEAT, BUGS and UV PROTECTION FOR TRUCKERSs: Reduce cabin temperature, block harmful UV rays, and protect against dust and bugs; Our breathable mesh sunshades help prevent dehydration, minimize air conditioning use, and save on fuel, making your drives safer and more economical - FULL WINDOW COVERAGE with SEE-THROUGH & PRIVACY: Enjoy complete outside privacy while maintaining a clear view from inside your truck; The double-layer breathable mesh blocks sunlight with no gaps, ideal for sleeping, resting, or working inside your cab - BREATHABLE MESH Design – FRESH AIR WITH WINDOWS ROLLED DOWN: Easily lower your windows and let fresh air in without removing the sunshades; Our slip-on sock-style design stays securely in place even when the windows are open; Perfect for long-haul trips, camping, roadside breaks, and outdoor adventures - COMPATIBLE WITH FULL SIZE TRUCK, PICK-UP & SUV: Big Ram 2020 Chevy Silverado 2011 Chevy Suburban Chevy Tahoe 2004 RAM 1500 Big Horn Ford E-150 Econoline; be sure to measure your windows including the door frame and match with our size chart before buying. The only problem I had was leaving these on when the car was not in use and it rained, these shades drew the rain into the car. I would recommend using them regularly, but remove them when not in use. **Q: Sometimes on road trips, I need to snooze in my car, want ventilation but no bugs. Decent airflow?.** A: Hi, sorry we didn't see this question before. Yes, there is breeze coming through without bugs coming from the windows that have the sunshades on as the mesh doesn't let any kind of bugs in the car. But the bugs will still get into the car through the front windows because these sunshades cannot be used on front windows while driving. I hope this helps. **Q: Does this come in a pack of two or four? For all four windows.** A: It came in a pack of 2. I did use it on a trip for rear passenger windows and worked perfectly as a mosquito net. **Q: For a 2017 nissan nv200. i need something to put over my windows to keep the bugs out while i'm camping in it. 21.5" h x 40". please advise size?** A: Hi, Please note that our sunshades are designed for use on the back windows only if you are driving. They are not designed for use on the front windows because you cannot drive with them on. Nevertheless, customers use them for camping purposes making them fit, more or less, by covering the mirror when it is closed/bent over. Since the sun shades are not made for that purpose the fit is not perfect, and you may need some magnets to help close the gaps around the mirror. If you still want to buy them despite the above we recommend the XXL size which is the turquoise color on the chart at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QM3CXJ7 *Please do not drive with the sunshades placed on your front windows. Thanks for asking. Minna Notto ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works Well *by C***Y on July 28, 2020* I bought these to replace the sheets of mosquito netting and magnets I previously used. Just like an oversized pillow case. The size I purchased was X-Large ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ They’re okay *by J***O on August 15, 2026* These work fine for filtering some light but I still need to keep my infant’s car seat visor up because I worry they still let in a decent amount of uv rays. They stay put with the windows down though, which was one of the main reasons I wanted this style visor, and cover the full window. One of them won’t stay all the way down in one corner for some reason. Another thing that frustrates me is I cannot see out of the backseat window directly behind the driver’s side with this on. Which I use to check my blind spot, so that still bothers me. You can see pretty well out of the opposite side. So not as safe as I would like. They fit snuggly so they won’t come off, but will fill up with air when windows are down. ## Frequently Bought Together - XXXL/Window Sun Shades for Trucks (12 Sizes) - Slip-On Breathable Mesh Socks for Side Windows, Full Coverage Heat & Bug Protection, 2-Pack by Qualizzi - Kaskawise Car Sunroof Sun Shade,Magnetic Screen Breathable Mesh Cover for Camping & Parking,Quick Install UV Protection Screen for Moonroof & Side Windows,Car Camping Accessories,Black --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/146385414-xxxl-window-sun-shades-for-trucks-2-pack-8-sizes](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/146385414-xxxl-window-sun-shades-for-trucks-2-pack-8-sizes) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-19*
