Review: Excellent primer - ensures finish coat lasts a very long time - I used this to prime heavy gates, after first sanding and removing all rust. 5 years later, finish coat still looks great. A neighbor repaired their wrought iron, didn't prime like I did - within 1-2 years their top coat looks terrible, need to redo entire job.

**Q: Can this be applied over light rust? If not, what product do I need for this?**
A: I cleaned light rust with a little paint thinner and then sprayed this primer on a prep gun motor. Then used black rustoleom paint over primer. And its been two years and the motor is still in good shape.

**Q: Is this safe for rabbits?**
A: I would not spray it on rabbits. But if you are spraying the cadge make sure they don't chew on it it might make them sick.

**Q: Can I use water base paint on top of this?**
A: yes you can
