They aren't packaged individually...they come all in one package. Once you open the package they are all basically opened. I took the 4 I needed and put the remaining 8 into a zip lock bag and put them in the freezer. I have other batteries that have been stored in the freezer for over a year and they are still working fine. **Q: Where are these batteries made?** A: The box indicates the batteries are made in China **Q: How do you know the date of manufacture of any batteries c 8, including other brands?** A: The most common location for a battery date is on the side of the battery **Q: Are c batteries dangerous?** A: C batteries are prone to leaking potassium hydroxide, a caustic agent that can cause respiratory, eye, and skin irritations. You can reduce the risks by not mixing battery types in the same device, and by replacing all of the batteries at the same time.
