The cables from the first row pedals can fit into the large opening on the riser and the pedal with a riser can get closer to the pedal in the first row. The riser comes with velcro on the bottom to stick to your pedal board, and velcro on the top to hold your pedal that has velcro on its bottom plate. Installation takes less than a minute for an existing pedal board and pedals that were already mounted to the pedal board.
