Good ARGB controller, cabling could use some work

Although my motherboard has 5V ARGB headers, I run Linux as my daily driver. Unfortunately, RGB support on Linux is virtually nonexistent, and the open source options I tried (like OpenRGB) don't yet support my motherboard—hence why I ended up buying the Adjust R1.Pros:While the number of available color patterns is limited compared to what's available in most RGB software, the variety is still more than sufficient for my needs. The device itself has a pretty small footprint, and the the included Y-splitter was handy.Cons:Leaves something to be desired when it comes to mounting. Although it contains a small magnet that allows it to be placed on steel case surfaces, the ARGB cable (which connects to the splitter/ARGB devices) is so thick that any motion or torsion of the cable causes the device to move around, rendering the weak magnet pretty much useless. The thick cable and the way it extends straight out from the device (instead of, say, allowing for a 90-degree angle) makes it difficult to mount the device without bringing the cable along for the ride, i.e., you won't be able to effectively hide or route the cable. To make matters worse, the power cable is found on the other end of the device, which makes mounting the device and hiding/routing the cables effectively even more difficult. Would have been much better if both the ARGB and power cables were on the same side of the device.Ultimately, I ended up "mounting" the device on a PCI slot cover at the back of my PC, which is nice because it's fairly well hidden and doesn't look too out of place. Doing so required me to basically cut a slot cover in half; this provided a hole for the beefy cables while retaining some physical support for the Adjust R1 to rest upon.Despite the annoying cable design, I'm happy with the product. Be warned: mounting it externally in a way that looks decent may require some work, and may be downright impossible depending on your case.

    So far so good

good little controller to use 5v Addressable RGB in a case that has proprietary RGB fans. I replaced the Thermaltake Chaser Mk1 200mm Fans with upHere 200mm. This controller and an extra cable also purchased from Amazon did the trick. The only two negative is there are only two plugs on this controller and the inputs are top and bottom. I needed 3 for the 200mm's and 1 for the CPU cooler (which is still "in the mail"). So far I have all three fans doing an awesome RGB spin that looks dope. The controller is super small but the top and bottom inputs mean it has to be "inline" and can't be run to the outside of the case. In my case its magnetized to the top of my Blue ray writer behind a cover.
