## Description

Black Truffle is one of the most prized products in the world. Italian black truffle is considered to be one of those delicacies that no true foodie can do without.Offers a whole black truffle to be eaten sliced onto dishes. It is one of the mildest varieties of black truffle. Black on the outside, it has white-veined, dark flesh on the inside. It is harvested on the slopes of the Monte Matese, a mountain range in the Molise region which is particularly suited to growing truffles. The tuber can be found growing wild in the area and is gathered by hand between October and March by experts.Being so rare to find, this product is very highly prized, and this is reflected in its high cost. The black-skinned variety is often used in thin slices to enhance meat, fish and egg-based dishes. Truffle shavings are commonly used in Italy on a good dish of homemade fresh egg pasta.Used in this way, the fragrance of the truffle is released in all its intensity, with notes of porcini mushroom and hazelnut. It has a very pleasant flavour and is recommended for simple dishes of few ingredients. Black truffle is rich in protein and is also said to be an aphrodisiac.Truffle fans will love this product, and it would make the ideal special gift for a connoisseur.
