I've changed this filter many times, biggest pain is getting the clips off the cowl without losing them. ### ⭐ Bad fitment in 2003 Mercury Sable - reasons *by M***T on September 15, 2022* Bought this as only HEPA filter that fits my 2006 Sable given NCAL fire and smoke issues (other brand that sold HEPA did not make one for this model. Noted that prior unit had sturdier frame sponge seal and was about 1/4" thinner that this unit [picture looking down along edge]. Old unit was fairly plugged but clean on downflow side. The only way that I could get this unit into housing lip was with an inward bow on the short edge [See Picture] . I don't trust the seal given the bow. I installed anyway as old one was plugged. I will probably check this one at some point to see if downwind side has some dirt to make sure it is sealing - otherwise the whole concept of HEPA filtration is useless. Wish I could have found a different brand with HEPA filtration.
