**Q: Will this be damaged at higher temperatures above 250 F?  Thank you.**
A: Brass melts at 1,700 degrees. I am confident the hoses it is holding together will fail sooner than the brass connector.

**Q: Is the 1/4" x 5/32" barbed fitting the actual size of the od of the ends?  i need it to connect a 3/8 od x 1/4 id tubing to a 1/4 od x 5/32 id tubing.**
A: The size of the brass fitting is listed correctly for it's OD. I needed to reduce from 1/4" hose to the smaller 5/32 size.

**Q: Is this safe for aquarium use?**
A: I would not use this Brass Reducer!!  I would use Plastic!!!

**Q: Is this suitable for gas?**
A: I used it to reduce my temporary rubber hose fuel line from 5/16 to 3/8 and it has worked just fine.  You may want to use fuel injector style hose clamps to fasten it.
