All the varieties are the common varieties. And with these culinary herbs, common types can vary wildly on their scent and flavor. I’ve attached some photos but I am so far pleased with my outcomes. Some things I’ve noticed so far in my seedlings. 1. Germination rate was good, almost exactly what it says on the package. Actually mine germinated like 3x as fast as what it suggested. I did germinate about 78-80f. 2. If you rub the thyme, oregano or sage leaves and then do a sniff they smell incredible even though they are still so little. This would indicate the parent plants were very healthy and fragrant. I have high hopes in there culinary outcome. 3. The oregano leaves are already having a light fuzz develop. The fuzz is excellent because they hold lots of the flavor and scent oils. The sage and thyme are also a little fuzzy! 4. The thyme has a lovely magenta underside. I thought it was just the cotyledons that had it but it’s seeming all of them do. I keep a strong grow light 1-2” from it 12-14hr a day. This striking color is a great sign of a strong reactive plant; it proves the seeds are creating enough antioxidants and responding vigorously to the light. I also want to mention these are all like literally only three weeks old. And I swear they are being kept at room temp besides for the germination. I started them in cells and then transferred them into pots maybe four days ago. Oregano, sage, thyme I did a few “ of seed soil then remaining w organic miracle gro/ sand/ perlite/ worm castings mix. Chives & cilantro same mix but less perlite and no sand. Chives/ onion I did start in a cell then moved them directly outside. The chives/ onions sprouted the first but actually are growing the slowest. To be fair it is like 50 degrees outside but they were growing quite slower at room temp regardless. The sage sprouted last, only just a week or so ago. Review: Easy and economical to grow - When I first started buying wheatgrass for my pet 10 years ago—weekly at $3/pot—I remember calling the grower who was local and asking how much it was to buy seeds. He told me it was more economical to buy from the store and I didn’t question it. I’ve since moved and the one store near me that carried it closed last month. Turns out that first guy fibbed and it’s waaaaay more economical to grow your own, not to mention quick and easy. I followed the directions on the package and had sprouted seeds in less than 48 hours. I then moved the pot under a grow light and had 3” tall grass within 3 days. At $10 for this bag of seeds, I’m going to get a lot more than 3.334 pots (I just reuse the 3”x3” pots from the ones I bought at the store). Lesson learned. My bag arrived on Aug 18. It’s Aug 26 as I’m writing this review and I already have a plant for my pet. These are good, quality seeds. ## Features - COMPLETE VARIETY PACK: Eight popular lettuce seeds including Buttercrunch, Romaine, Iceberg, Bibb, Red Oakleaf, Prizehead, plus Kale and Spinach; Perfect lettuce seeds for planting outdoors or in hydroponic systems - PREMIUM USA-SOURCED SEEDS: 9000+ non-GMO, heirloom lettuce seeds with high germination rates; Includes organic lettuce seeds for planting fresh salad greens year-round; Butter lettuce, leaf lettuce, and romaine lettuce seeds - EASY GROWING GUIDE: Detailed planting instructions for all lettuce varieties; Plant these salad seeds in garden beds or containers; Green leaf lettuce seeds and red leaf lettuce seeds thrive in most growing conditions - INDOOR AND OUTDOOR VERSATILITY: Perfect for hydroponic gardens, raised beds, or containers; Grow butterhead lettuce seeds, romaine lettuce seeds for planting, or iceberg lettuce seeds in any season; Ideal for fresh salads - GIFT-READY PACKAGING: Waterproof resealable mylar pouches preserve seed freshness; Includes plant markers; Great gift for gardeners, chefs, and survivalists; Complete your greens seeds for planting collection - Kale: Dwarf Siberian (Brassica oleracea), Lettuce: Bibb (Lactuca sativa), Lettuce: Buttercrunch (Lactuca sativa), Lettuce: Iceburg (Lactuca sativa), Lettuce: Parris Island Romaine (Lactuca sativa), Lettuce: Prizehead (Lactuca sativa), Lettuce: Red Oakleaf (Lactuca sativa), Spinach: Bloomsdale (Spinacia oleracea) ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B07SWR9H4R | | Best Sellers Rank | #9 in Patio, Lawn & Garden ( See Top 100 in Patio, Lawn & Garden ) #1 in Vegetable Plants & Seeds | | Brand | HOME GROWN | | Brand Name | HOME GROWN | | Color | Green | | Customer Reviews | 4.2 out of 5 stars 67,584 Reviews | | Expected Blooming Period | Spring to Fall | | Expected Plant Height | 6 inches | | Expected Planting Period | Spring, Fall | | Indoor Outdoor Usage | Indoor, Outdoor | | Indoor/Outdoor Usage | Indoor, Outdoor | | Item Type Name | vegetable seeds | | Manufacturer | HOME GROWN | | Manufacturer Part Number | HG Parent | | Manufacturer Warranty Description | See manufacturer's website for more information. | | Material Feature | GMO Free, Heirloom | | Material Features | GMO Free, Heirloom | | Model Number | HG Parent | | Moisture Needs | Regular Watering | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Pieces | 9000 | | Other Special Features of the Product | A practical, garden-themed gift designed for plant lovers of any skill level.
