I sleep hot and usually wake up in a sweaty mess, so I added a thin extra layer on top that I can easily pull off to wash. The good news: this protector doesn’t make me overheat like those cheap plastic ones that crinkle every time you roll over. I didn’t wash it right when it arrived, but it seems like it would hold up fine on a delicate warm cycle. Overall, I’d recommend it for personal use.
