These crystals cause batteries to become unusable at approximately one-third of their natural life. The Battery Life Saver electronic desulfator handles this problem. How does it Work? The Battery Life Saver sends a frequency signal to each crystal of lead sulfate, causing it to dissolve into lead and sulfuric acid. This restores the battery to its original condition and allows the electrical charge to be drawn from the battery. Benefits of Using The Battery Life Saver It rejuvenates old batteries, maintains working batteries in optimal condition, and extends battery life, saving time and money. With the Battery Life Saver, more power is available from your batteries and you need less power to charge them. By reducing the number of batteries that get thrown away and put in landfills, the Battery Life Saver helps to protect the environment. This model is designed for 12 and 24 volt solar/wind battery banks. This BLS-12/24B has 3ft in length to span 6'. Comes with alligator type battery clips for attachment. Review: I have had one of these since 2007 dedicated to our solar system batteries. - We will use one on our battery bank for our solar system as we have since 2007 We are going to use the other one on our tractors, trucks, car, and airplane to keep the batteries up in the long winter months when we are not using the equipment as much. The trick is that you have to have the charge going up and down on the batteries with the BLS in place, not just down and not just up as there are two sides of the plates that need to be desulfated. We prefer clamps because we move the device outside of the battery box during the Spring, Summer, and Early Fall. Late Fall, Winter, and Early Spring, the device is inside our battery box to give our batteries a little bit of heat. We have done this for several years. Some applications may use the eyelet connections more easily. Review: Highly recommend! - This little device saved my entire battery bank in just about a month and continues to maintain the batteries in tip-top shape. This is on a 12 battery bank of thick plate Rolls-Surette S-550 6v. Prior to installing this unit, the system had been run for about 5 years with monthly watering and cleaning. By the time I ordered this, the bank was not charging to capacity and, therefore the system wouldn't last without an almost constant charging. After installing this 6 months ago, the bank now charges fully in about 8 hours and will last without charging for 20-30 hours (the original target was 24-36 hours at 75% duty). This system is 100% off-grid for a 2 bedroom home. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B006X24P50 | | Best Sellers Rank | #313,219 in Sports & Outdoors ( See Top 100 in Sports & Outdoors ) #70 in Boat Battery Chargers | | Brand Name | Basandi | | Country of Origin | United States | | Customer Reviews | 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars (53) | | Date First Available | January 13, 2012 | | Item Dimensions LxWxH | 4 x 2 x 2 inches | | Item Package Dimensions L x W x H | 5.2 x 5.12 x 3.07 inches | | Item Weight | 2 Pounds | | Manufacturer | Basandi | | Model Name | BLS 12/24BW | | Package Weight | 0.47 Kilograms | | Part Number | BLS-12/24BW | ## Product Details - **Battery Cell Composition:** Lead Acid - **Brand:** Basandi - **Reusability:** Rechargeable - **Unit Count:** 1 Count - **Voltage:** 24 Volts ## Images ![Battery Life Saver BLS-12/24BW 12 and 24 volt Battery System Desulfator Rejuvenator - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61pqUNlTytL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I have had one of these since 2007 dedicated to our solar system batteries. *by J***F on December 6, 2022* We will use one on our battery bank for our solar system as we have since 2007 We are going to use the other one on our tractors, trucks, car, and airplane to keep the batteries up in the long winter months when we are not using the equipment as much. They do seem to help with battery longevity. The company isn’t very good at communication, though. I had to replace the ring terminals with clips myself. I ordered one with clips. ## Frequently Bought Together - Battery Life Saver BLS-12/24BW 12 and 24 volt Battery System Desulfator Rejuvenator - 14 Gauge Marine Wire 14 AWG Marine Grade Wire Include 14 Gauge 30FT Red & 30FT Black,14AWG Oxygen-Free Tinned Copper Electrical Cable for Automotive Boat Lighting Outdoor RV Camper Trailer --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/14203562-battery-life-saver-bls-12-24bw-12-and-24-volt](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/14203562-battery-life-saver-bls-12-24bw-12-and-24-volt) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-15*
