A: Material Data Safety Sheet says Citric Acid and Sodium Chloride, both listed as 30-60%, since the formula is proprietary

A: Possibly because most City Water sources are not high in iron. There are separate products which are better for cleaning your softener when your water source is high in iron.

A: i am not home to look at it, but i believe it's 4 #

**Q: If anyone has an empty 4lb or 1.5lb bottle of this, can you fill it up with water and tell me how many gallons of liquid it holds?**
A: The 1.5 lb bottle is the same size and shape as a quart of motor oil,  but a bit thinner.  So guessing it would hold about 28-30 oz of water.
