Review: The dosa gods have finally blessed me! 😁 - After trying so many brands of tawas, I finally found the perfect one. It’s a roti tawa with a slightly concave surface in the middle, which is exactly what I was looking for. It is very easy to use and maintain. Whether I’m making dosas, egg dosas, or even frying fish, it works wonderfully. The concave design helps prevent oil from spilling over the edges and makes cooking much more convenient. I specifically chose this roti tawa because of its unique shape, and I’m really happy with my purchase. I absolutely love this product! To maintain this tawa, it needs to be seasoned before the first use. Although it comes pre-seasoned, you still need to put in a little effort to get the best results. First, I washed it with dishwashing soap and let it dry completely. Then, I applied a very thin layer of oil—just 2 to 3 drops—and spread it evenly across the surface. I heated the tawa over medium heat for about 5 minutes and then allowed it to cool completely. I repeated this process five times. After that, I scrubbed the surface with half an onion dipped in salt. Then I started making dosas. The first dosa stuck slightly, but from the second dosa onwards, everything turned out perfectly. Now, the tawa works beautifully. Finding the perfect dosa tawa is just like finding a good husband—rare, but worth the wait! 😂 Happy dosa, happy life! 😜
Review: Review - The tawa is good as expected. However, it looks like it has been already kept on a stove. My hope is that the dark round mark appearing at the centre of the tawa, is due to the process of manufacturing, and not because it's an used and rejected/returned item.
