Review: Oilfield Inspection - These are great flashlights for our oilfield inspection teams. We tested out a lot of flashlights and settled on these a few years ago. We do inspection on drill pipe an other oilfield tools. We needed something that is durable and water resistant. Also we didn’t something we could adjust the brightness and beam which this hit all the marks. Doing inspection on pipe we have to be able to look inside a 30ish foot joint for damages. Some flashlights were too dim to see good and others were too bright so it washed out being able to see damages. These flashlights hit the sweet spot and does have 3 brightness levels plus the adjustable beam so they work perfect. Only bad thing I would say is these are fairly large. A lot in inspectors like to carry these bright ass pocket lights because they are convenient but like I said above, we were missing damages because of washout. These are all we buy now for our teams. Review: Better quality than The Usual Suspects...for a better price. - I bought three of these based on my experience with two similar-model Coast branded flashlights I picked up a year earlier at Home Depot. These are extremely well made, extremely durable, and waterproof/shockproof just like they're advertised. The optics in them is top notch and it projects a bright flood or a really tight super bright beam, and everything in between. One of the great design features is the recessed lens: you can toss one of these in a tool box with no fear of the lens getting scratched or damaged like many others do, because the others have the lens right there at the face of the light. I'm a satisfied customer. My only gripe is they should offer these with a simple on/off function; the three brightness levels is a goofy thing. Click on, click off--that's all I need. I'm just glad they didn't include the idiotic flashy disco strobe like many makers do. I bought the nite ize holster from Walmart and it’s a little tight but it works. Also fits polysteel 400 & 200 **Q: Are these flashlights made in America?** A: I believe in in Seattle, WA. I own 5 COAST flashlight 🔦 **Q: These are 2 for $20 at Home Depot... just saying...?** A: Actually, I checked the price at Home Depot for the 600 and it is not carried in stores it is online only and the price is $22.07 plus shipping. I bought mine on sale for less than $20. **Q: Has anyone bought a holster that will fit a basketweave duty belt for this light?** A: I have a pocket in my pants designed for a light. I've been going to this brand because they have outstanding customer service. Their products are well made and perform well. I ordered this light to use at work but found it to be a little bit larger than I wanted to carry around. It is however, a great light and now resides in my night stand. Love the focusing feature. And I really like the on/off switch. I just wanted a light. Don't need a strobe or SOS or anything else, just a light. I don't like scrolling through a "menu" to get the light output I want. It's simple, high, low, off. Perfect. I had a problem with a hard hat light I got from them a couple of months ago. Lost one of the clips for the headband. Emailed customer service and they sent me replacements at no charge within a couple of days. Very impressive. I'm buying more of their products. Just another thing to note, Amazon has by far the best prices on their products.
