A: Specs say it holds up to 400. Mine collapsed after second use and I weigh 250.

A: I think they are about 1 or 1 and a half inches thick.  They're very sturdy when I sit on the seat.

Using after anterior hip replacement. I like it because its taller than most and allows me to stretch my leg out and nit have to squat low. Sturdy, my sister put it together easily. Great chair.
