For giggles I tried charging my old one with new charger and the old one works too. All along the charger went bad after sitting in a box for 12 years but the actual igniter still worked. The reason the gauge doesn’t work by itself is because in order to have a reading, there has to be a CLOSED circuit. The gauge ONLY works while on a load (so on a glow plug). Anyways, works good for a glow igniter. I have it for multiple 1/10 HSP nitros and a few 1/8 nitro racers. Battery can come out so upgrading the battery could be in the near future. Charger works good and nothing to really complain about.
