The more common Medjool date tends to have a mushy texture and is not as sweet. I much prefer the DN's drier texture., although I'm sure not everyone agrees. The dates in this bag are somewhat sticky when you open it. This can be quickly remedied by placing a couple of handfuls on a paper plate and leave them exposed to room temperature air for day or so.
