It is likely to split open whilst trying to snug them on the flare. For larger flared out temple tips, go with the 'Costa Del Mar unisex-adult C-line Retainer'. I recently acquired the Saint Laurent frame (SL 505), and it has low profile skinny temple tips. This bowline silicone retainer is perfect with a nice adjustable bead that slides up and down. If your bead slips off, you can get your handy Hemostat Forceps Locking Tweezers Clamps and pull the bead back through with no issues.Some things to keep in mind. if you produce a good bit of sebum or oil on your face and behind your ears, the silicon retainer will break down and disintegrate over time since your oily skin is acidic compared to the silicone rubber.
