I was having a hard time finding a replacement lid for my slow cooker that is no longer being manufactured. I had asked other previous owners if anyone had tried using this lid in such a capacity. Most had not and thought it might not work as well. In fact, I used it last week as a lid to my slow cooker and it did a great job. It sealed around the top rim of the insert and trapped in all of the heat and steam as the original lid would have done.
