Or is the pad adequate for protection?** A: I'm using it on a wood table and no problem. **Q: Does the iron pad stitch pattern show on the clothes being ironed?** A: It does not, I primarily use it when I iron kaki pants and dress shirts. **Q: What side do you use** A: You iron on the quilted side, just as it shows the quilted side up in the picture. I love it! **Q: I cannot see any reason or advantage to having it quilted instead of smooth. Do the diamond shapes show when ironing thin fabrics?** A: I usually use it to do a quick iron for cotton dress shirts or pants but have never had a problem. It's really handy when you're in a hurry and don't want to haul the ironing board out. ## Frequently Bought Together - Quilted Magnetic Ironing Mat Iron Anywhere Portable Ironing Pad Ironing Board Alternative Cover Gray - BLACK+DECKER Easy Steam Compact Iron for Clothes, Automatic Shutoff, Nonstick Plate, Light Weight, 1200 Watts --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/13600988-magnetic-ironing-mat-for-washer-dryer-18-x-31-inch](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/13600988-magnetic-ironing-mat-for-washer-dryer-18-x-31-inch) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-12*
