I find they offer more stability and support in my yoga practice than using foam blocks which I have too but use for sitting poses on more. If you've been doing yoga for a while you probably know your preferences. There is no "better" for most of these, its just preference. That said, this is how these cork blocks stack up Size: pretty close to standard, that is about the same size of 90% of the blocks I've seen.
