And it actually erases." It's not nearly as good as Pentel Energel but Energels and Pilot G-2 are not erasable. **Q: Are there refills for this type? I can't tell from the description** A: Yes, they are definitely refillable. You can purchase them in Pilot-branded 3-packs, or various other variety packs. I got one here on Amazon that must have been a 24 pack (because I have 18 left at the moment) that came in a ziplock-type baggie. **Q: How is the product quality?** A: Quality is very good, purchased for my 16 year old daughter who is very into calligraphy, scrapbooking etc and she loves them. Uses them every day to take notes at school and they’re holding up well. **Q: Does the pen write smoothly over erased areas? How many times can an area be erased?** A: The ink and the eraser act much like a pencil lead and eraser, I erased several times and wrote several times over the same area of the paper. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ As a teacher, it's my favorite type of pen *by on Reviewed in the United States May 29, 2026* I LOVE these pens. As a teacher, I use these often. Their ability to erase surpasses even a pencil / eraser. It writes smooth and doesn't smudge. It's especially useful for my AP chemistry students who use them to write in their science lab notebook, which requires blue or black ink. I gift them one of these at Christmas and again before they take the final AP exam. The only issue is that the ink seems to run out quickly- but they are still worth it!I order the multicolored packs also for grading. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Ultimate Companion for Crossword Lovers *by on Reviewed in the United States April 8, 2026* I bought these Pilot FriXion Erasable Pens for my wife, who is an avid pen collector. Out of all the different types she owns, these have quickly become some of her favorites—specifically for her crossword puzzles. The Perfectionist’s Secret WeaponMy wife uses these exclusively for her crosswords. While she’s an expert and mistakes are rare, they do happen! In the past, using a regular pen meant living with a messy correction or a ruined puzzle. With the FriXion pens:• Clean Corrections: She can easily erase a letter or word without tearing the newsprint or leaving messy smudges.• Ghost-Free: The friction-based "eraser" nub leaves the paper looking clean, so she can write the correct answer right over the top immediately. The "Pen" Feel with "Pencil" FlexibilityShe loves the feel of a high-quality gel pen, and these deliver that smooth, bold ink flow. It makes the puzzle-solving experience feel much more "official" than using a pencil, but with the added safety net of being able to fix an error in seconds.Pro-Tip for Puzzle StorageSince the ink reacts to heat, just a quick reminder to keep those completed puzzles away from hot surfaces or bright sunlight, or the answers might disappear! (Though if they do, a quick trip to the freezer usually brings the ink right back).Final VerdictIf you have a puzzle lover in your life, these are a thoughtful and practical gift. They’ve made my wife's favorite pastime even more enjoyable by keeping her puzzles looking sharp and error-free. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works well *by on Reviewed in the United States February 7, 2026* Of all the erasable pens I've tried, FriXion is my favorite. They erase well and this box having twelve within saves you some money vs. buying twelve separately. ## Frequently Bought Together - Pilot, FriXion Clicker Erasable Gel Pens, Fine Point 0.7 mm, Pack of 12, Black - Pilot Gel Ink Refills for FriXion Erasable Gel Pen, Fine Point, Black Ink - Pack of 18 (77330) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/13527160-frixion-clicker-erasable-gel-ink-pens-0-7mm-black-ink](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/13527160-frixion-clicker-erasable-gel-ink-pens-0-7mm-black-ink) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-11-02*
