Review: Really Great Product! - Actistatin Canine Extra Strength Soft Chews Large (120 ct) This is a truly great product. It has everything in it to help my dog's joint problems. I actually started this product about a month ago, before my dog needed knee surgery. I first bought the smaller size, as I was new to using this product. I noticed an improvement even before the surgery. He has just had his staples taken out, at 2 weeks past surgery, and the Vet was impressed with his improvement so far. The recovery time for his knee surgery was supposed to be 8 weeks, and the Vet said his recovery will probably be complete in 4 more weeks. He wants to see him in a month. If I had had this type of surgery this product has everything in it I would have taken to recover, including important Bromelain, and Co Q10. That's how I found this product. I was looking for a Glucosamine product for my dog that had Bromelain in it. I googled those names, and found this product. This size and price is also impressive. 2 times the amount of the smaller canister, which costs $51.95, for only $71.93. Although it is a lot of money for a supplement, it is so worth it to see the progress my dog is making. And he thinks it's a treat! He loves it, and no upset tummy! My dog is only 4 years old, and will have to take this product for the rest of his life, so I hope they make it for that long, and that desertcart carries it, and that they, the company, GLC, keeps the value of this larger size canister. I am on a very fixed income, that will not change or increase over the years.
Review: Keeps my amputee husky active :-) - After about a week, I saw a remarkable improvement in my tripaw (3-legged) husky's energy! He is now able to keep up and sometimes wear out his younger 4-legged super hyper husky brother. Even the doggy daycare center noticed the change. Before he was on the supplement, he was not able to physically handle playing for more than a few minutes at a time and you could notice his pain or discomfort afterwards. There were some days when he didn't want to play at all. Now, he plays everyday and he even initiates it. For those who are not aware, huskies play very rough. He also loves the taste of the chews. It reminds me of the tootsie roll candies. The chews are fairly large so I cut them into 8 smaller pieces to use as 'treats' during training. He takes one full chew daily and has been on it for a month now. I haven't tried other joint products so I can't make a fair comparison. It may be more expensive than some of other supplements on the market, but it seems to work for my husky. He's only 2-3 years old (as estimated by the shelter we adopted him from) so he has many more years to live. I hope continued use of this product will prevent issues with his joints in the future.

My husky hurt her back about a year ago. She has never been the same. She is only 5 now and is really active but has a hard time due to her back. Since I have started her on the Actistatin its been almost 2 weeks and I have noticed a huge difference. She now walks with her tail up which she hasnt done since she hurt her back and she wants to play more with our other dog and has even ran up the stairs to fetch a toy. I have to say this stuff really works. I give her one chew in the morning and one at night. Since she is over 50 pounds. I have her on a diet and hope to get her to 45lbs then I can give her just one. She gained the weight from being on steroids and that hasnt help her back but she is loosing weight and is so much more active. I will continue to give this to her.
