However if you are looking for lots of splashing sound, it's more of a trickle. It has one led light on the bottom that is quite bright [at night] and I may actually paint it yellow to dim it a little bit; that’s not a complaint, just a preference. Out of the package, it took me less than 10 minutes to set up which included filling with water. I like the fact that this fountain only has one cord, as many others have 2, one for the pump and one for the light but these are combined. That’s a plus as I only have one outlet on my lanai. The sound is very soothing and it’s quite relaxing to watch the water cascade not only from the bowls themselves but down the wall too. Initially I had the pump set at half speed thinking of my last fountain which was very loud, but it wasn’t loud enough so I increased to full capacity and it’s perfect with minimal splashing outside the fountain itself. Highly recommend! EDIT: Would have given this fountain 5 stars but less than 3 months and the light no longer works.
