Review: Very nice watch! - Very nice watch. I like the mineral glass - much better than the plastic ones on other cheaper watches. The 40mm size is nice for my wrist. The leather band is comfortable and good quality. I like the larger numbers and how well the indiglo lights up the watch face in the dark. In the week that I've had it, it has kept time well. The one negative would be the case comes up and over the glass creating a "lip" or exposed edge that I'm not impressed with. I see that as a place for dust/dirt/smudges to accumulate.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is it OK to wet the leather strap? I mean, if it's an outdoor watch, it can get wet anytime. Does the strap not get ruined?**
A: I wear mine kayaking, canoeing, swimming, etc.  It gets a bit slimy when wet so I usually take it off to dry afterward.  It will not due the leather any favors but I still make it last for a couple of years.  I then buy a new leather watch band when It gets too worn.

**Q: How many holes are in the strap? For a guy, I basically have a woman's small wrist, and would need it to have 7-8 holes for a good fit.**
A: There are eight (8) holes in the strap.

**Q: does it tick loudly?**
A: Moderate to loud tick. I have some hearing loss and can still hear it, so it can't be too quiet!  Out of the four watches I own, all different ones, this is next to the loudest.

**Q: Sometimes Amazone makes misprints. Is thre crystal acrylic or actually.mineral?**
A: Mine is mineral crystal. I can tell by tapping on it and the sound it makes.

Great looking watch. The watch case fits nicely around my wrist, not standing proud like some automatic watches. This is a beater watch for me and the 100m water resistance is perfect. I may get a black with orange silicone strap to give it an additional sporty look. My second timex expedition the last one had the white face and last around 13 years. Hopefully this has a similar longevity. Would definitely recommend this watch as it hugs the wrist nicely with no gaps between the wrist and watch case. And the 100m we makes it a versatile watch.
