It is just as pretty in reality as it is in the picture. I am quite happy with the purchase. My bedroom looks so nice. The best part is that I can fit it into my washer and dryer. The last bedspread I had was really nice; it was an oversized comforter and it was huge which was OK. Unfortunately though, I have three big dogs who get on my bed and sometimes get it dirty. That comforter was way too big for my washer and dryer, so about every three or four weeks I had to haul it to the laundry mat and usually it cost about $10 to get it washed and dried. This one will fit just fine in my washer. I have not had to wash it yet, but the time will come. If it does not wash well I will rewrite this review, but when I bought it I did not see any negative reviews about washing it.One last comment and this is not a complaint at all, it is just a fact. This spread is thin, so if you get cold easily or live in areas where the winters are harsh or even just mildly cool, you will need another blanket to go with this spread. Like I said I am not complaining, I am just making a note that might be a decision maker for some. This one is really colorful, and had all the blues I needed for my room, but also other colors, like reds, and tans. I bought the throw pillows to match also, and they look great. It’s made well, although I haven’t washed it yet, but, I think it will hold up. Really love it, not super lightweight but, not too heavy.
