Installation was simple, using a sling swivel mount. This thing is sturdy, period. I don't know how it will hold up under continuous use, but let's face it, at upwards of $4.00 per round, I may never find out. It is certainly heavy-duty enough for you average deer rifle or .308. It operates as well as the device it copies. Subtly, it lacks the edges and finish of the more expensive version. It is not made in the USA.It is your personal choice to decide if the gigantic increase in cost is worth it to buy the domestic production. I wrestled with that choice and decided that if it was 30% more, I would spend more. But at the more than double the cost, I couldn't justify my unnecessary 'donation.' I can say that this bipod works great and I would buy it- or preferably the American version- again. It is a fantastic and effective design. The rigidity and stability are ideal. Quick attachment and detachment.
