**Q: what is the impact of this on blood sugar? any study?**
A: I say "use with caution".  I've not seen any studies but I've been reading some message boards about this.  Some folks have self-reported a spike in blood sugar by as much as 50 points.  Of the folks with a sugar spike, some say they only get a spike if they eat several teaspoons at once.  Other people seem to be entirely unaffected by IMO regardless of dose.  I would try a tablespoon of it in decaf tea (no cream or food) and see if you have a spike.

**Q: Comparing to regular existing food, what does this taste like?**
A: This taste exactly like Light Karo syrup.  If you want to make special K bars in low carb, here is my low-carb recipe:1 cup of VitaFiber Syrup 1 cup of creamy peanut butter6 cups of Speical K cereal or Rice Krispy cerealDirection:   Cook 1 cup of the Vita Fiber in the medium size pot at the medium high heat, then wait till it boil.  Let it boil for 1 minute, then turn off the heat, then stir with 1 cup of peanut butter. Pour the peanut butter mixture over the Speical K cereal (in separate bowl), then stir them up.  Transfer them into the 9x13 greased pan. Hope it helps.  It taste really good and you won't notice the difference.  Also, it helps to relieve the constipation.
