They all leak, varying degrees. Mine drained half out over 2 hrs on the way to a job once when it fell over! Thanks** A: Not initially, no, but after a few months of use it does start to flavor the water or whatever you have in there. An empty, clean jug has that plastic smell to it. This morning I spent 4 hours on the golf course on a hot Washington DC day ... 77 degrees F at 7:30 am reaching 90 at 11 am. I am glad to say that opening the cooler at 12 in my kitchen, there were still ice cubes to keep the water cold. Also i drank many times during this round of golf and did not notice any leak.
