I tried everything I could find on the internet to remove them, without any success. Then I tried Meguiar's Gold Class Leather & Vinyl Cleaner. It did an excellent job of removing the stains when nothing else would, and without any sign of damaging the leather itself. I heartily recommend trying this for stubborn dirt and stains on leather.

It really didn't do what I thought it would...but I was expecting it to sort of color in cat scratches on a Nu-Leather couch. However, it did work as a leather and vinyl cleaner! The parts that I used it on were cleaner and brighter and there was no harsh smell afterwards. There was no streaking or staining and it dried quickly. I gave it to my daughter to use on her new car's leather dash and seats. She loves it. I have to find something else short of buying new furniture and getting rid of the cats (two sisters)-would really hate to do that...have had them since they were newborns...for the cat scratches.
