Review: How to get people back into Golf!!! Use these balls and feel like a Pro on the Tee Box - I played 14 holes (twilight all you can golf rate) with this ball just a couple of days ago and I shot a 41 on a par 35. For me my normal score for that side would have been around 50. I was literally laughing out loud at every tee box after I hit another fairway. Of my 14 tee shots, only 1 missed the fairway and it was in the first cut of rough by 8 inches!!! And in reality I had lined up incorrectly so I blame myself. On the 2 par 3s I was on the green each time and made the par which is unheard of for me. I had 5 pars which I have not done in years and this was my best score for that course on the back side. I have a huge case of the yips on the tee box because of my 40 degree slice so I try to think of all of the things I am supposed to do and end up hating golf. I was going to quit playing after this year because it just ended up being no fun anymore. I started just using a 5 iron off the tee just to keep the ball in play. Now, because of this ball, I am going to play again on Sunday (2 days from now) and I have signed up for a Myrtle Beach golf trip with 15 other buddies who are all dying to try these balls. I had 2 of the best drives on holes number 12 and 15. When I played the "extra" holes, there is a par 5 that I almost reached in 2 shots which I have never ever done. I am not a long hitter at all but I did have an interesting comparison. I hit my Polara 3 piece in the middle of the fairway and then took out a Pro V1, same swing, and sliced it my usual 40 degrees. The Titleist wound up in the rough and behind the Polara by 25 yards. I never had an issue with distance one time with the driver. The thing you never think about is your second shot. I used to live in fear of hitting a 3 wood or a 5 wood because I would aim out of bounds on the left side knowing I would hook the ball. This works ok for links style courses but on tight courses I always have to hit 6 iron which means I still have another full iron into the green. Now I can take out a 3 wood and have no fear. I also never adjusted the ball on the fairway or the rough. I figured it would sort itself out in the air. And it always did. With all that being said, I did notice some interesting shot trajectories with my irons, mostly the 8 iron. I was not striking the ball well with my irons but they had a very top spin like trajectory. However, I never had a problem with distance and they all went straight so I am taking some much better golfers with me on Sunday and seeing if they experience the same thing. I also found that I like the feel and sound of these balls when putting. I know it seems strange but I was putting very well and the the bounce off of the clubface was just perfect. I can't explain it. So after having said all of that, I am just a recreational golfer and never really cared about golf or playing anywhere nice because of my horrible game. Now I am buying a new driver, setting up golf trips, and saving for a new set of irons all because of a golf ball. Golf Digest talks about geting people back into the game and for me this is it. Make the game fun and allow us to feel like a pro sometimes. I stand at the tee box, swing as hard as I can, and then get 3 legitimate chances at birdie in 9 holes. I am going from playing 5 times a year to playing at least once a week and going to pour around $1,000 into new clubs and driver. How can this not be good for the game? I never play tournaments so that is no issue and when I play with friends instead of them spotting me 5 to 6 strokes we will play even as I have told them all I play these balls.
Review: Straighten outs your shot, but does seem to cost distance - I purchased two boxes of these balls for a golf trip in the summer of 2014. I've played golf all my life and have always battled a mild slice (re: fade) with mixed-success. I read the reviews of this ball, and thought I'd give it a go. I played 72 holes over the past three days using this ball (among others), and believe I have sufficient experience now to write a review. I am bogey golfer - I don't break any records, but I am also not terrible. I am the typical weekend warrior golfer! *The Good* It works. Yep. Simple as that. I played with the same guys I've been playing with for years without telling them about my new ball. Right off the first tee box, I hit it and you could tell it had something going on in the air. It didn't fly like a normal ball. My shot took off a bit to the right, but then made a weird turn to the left, straitened out, and landed in the fairway. It was really cool, and I was shocked! I had to tell my buddies what the ball was, and soon, we were all trying out the Polara. Now, it doesn't fix a shank. If you don't hit it well (if you hit a skyball, or top the ball), it ain't gonna work. But, if you catch it full on and pop it up in the air decently, it absolutely works quite well. You can absolutely see the ball self correcting in the air on most shots. It's really cool to watch! It's important to note that higher degree drivers/woods and irons work the best. I normally play a 9.5 degree driver but I played an 11 degree driver and the difference in hang time seemed to make a world of difference. Hit it high! On the few shots I had that went low, the ball seemed to play more normally. It seems that it needs the hang time in the air for the dimply pattern to work appropriately. *The Bad* Distance. It does not fly as far. Yes, as many reviewers have mentioned, it gets an excellent bounce and role. But, it does not fly as far. It seems like some of the "self correction" dimple pattern does straighten the ball flight out, but it tends to drop down very quickly. This was also the general consensus in our four-some. Sound. It sounds like you are hitting a ball filled with concrete. Not a huge problem, but it does not sound like a normal ball. I suppose some folks may be bothered by that. Feel. I played the Polara off each tee box, but switched to a softer ball around the green. The Polara is a hard ball, and doesn't seem to play well around greens. *Overall* I will keep a box of these in my bag from now on. While I still prefer to play a "normal" ball, if I am making good contact but kicking the ball left or right, I will absolutely bull out a Polara.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Puts the fun back in the game!
*by M***V on August 1, 2011*

I have used these balls for the last 20 rounds or so and I like them a lot. I have read tons of reviews about these and i just had to put in my 2 cents. This ball works, or should I say this ball helps. It doesn't correct everything. You can still hook and slice the ball, it's just not as pronounced. You can actually see it correct the ball flight. However, unless you are planning on picking up the ball and positioning it in the fairway after your drive, the anti-slicing/hooking technology really doesn't apply after the first shot. It is nice to have that first shot in the fairway. I do loose a little distance, but who cares about 20 yards on a drive. I would rather be in the fairway 20 yards short than not at all. The ball does have normal ball flight if it's not lined up correctly. I can't tell much of a difference in ball flight form the Callaway's i used to hit. They are a little harder for sure. They are hard to stop on the green as well. I do not get a lot of spin, even with the XS ball. Personally, i can't tell much of a difference from the standard model and the XS. They both play about the same. The XS may be a little softer, but it's negligible. It has certainly put some fun back in the game for me. I think the bottom line is that these have improved my confidence which has in turn improved my game all the way around. It's hard to shoot a good round when you are constantly thinking about what your doing wrong. When you can step up to the tee and crank one down the middle, the rest of the hole goes so much better. I was a mid 90's golfer before I started using these. I am now consistently in the 80's. I do not think that is all because of the balls performance, although it helps. I think it is from an all around confidence boost from not having to constantly think about my swing. I just get up there and crush it!! I am hitting much better at the range as well which is a big plus. Try them. You won't be disappointed.
