This device is one of the oldie-but-goodies. Not only reliable, easy to install, no batteries to change, looks good and all of that but will technically out-perform the wireless variety. Don't believe me? Check the instructions on the wireless offerings--actually read it--and you'll find that many will only trigger/report once every 3 minutes "to conserve batttery life". Motion detectors are devices that need to report every time a suspect moves into the area of protection. That isn't protection, its amusement known as Security Theater. Stick with wired tech whenever possible for lower cost, longer life and reliable performance. This is one of those devices. Review: Motion Detector - I have a 25+ year old Brinks/ now ADT house security system. One night motion was detected by one of the three sensors in the house. I finally noticed that the light on the one sensor didn’t come on when approached. I replaced it with this sensor and it corrected the problem. Easy to replace and wire. This particular motion is cable of not detecting animals less than 50 lbs. from a distance of 5 feet or higher. I suggest setting the motion up in a pat alley application. This particular application requires mounting the motion upside down, approximately 3 1/2 feet to 4 feet off of the floor. Thanks** A: Yes, Internally has 4 screw connections which are labeled NC, C, V-, V+.
