These particular Merrell shoes are ultra light, drain well, are very comfortable and have incredible traction on a variety of surfaces. The only misleading aspect of these shoes is that it was stated that they are fast drying. The leather and insulation components of the shoe do not dry fast (within 3 days in a closet), but they did not smell after trekking through the lake and putting them in the dryer. I absolutely love these shoes! Review: Comfortable and breathable - Great shoes overall! I work outdoors and constantly find myself wading through water and streams. The best part about these shoes is they are breathable, comfortable, and lightweight. Once my shift is over, I place the shoes in my truck and they are always dry in the morning. I always make sure to let loose the laces and pull the tongue out as far as I can to help with drying. So far I have no complaints.
