If you use a little more flour on the board as you roll the dough it won't be sticky and this little gem cleans right up under the tap. Getting the right amount of flour on the board and rolling the dough very thin are key to making good noodles. I recommend using Google to get the Betty Crocker recipe for egg noodles, it's very good, it's easy, and it freezes beautifully. The recipe says serves six .. divide the dough in four pieces and keep the three well covered while you roll the first one ... or, just pat the extras into something like a fat hamburger patty, wrap each one separately in wax paper and then put all three in a freezer bag. When you're ready to use it, put it in the fridge overnight to thaw there ... roll out and cut the next morning and let them dry for several hours ... putting them on the wire cooling racks you use for cookies is fine. At that point they are in strips the width of the cutter ... after they've dried they're quite easy to separate. Sounds a lot more fuss than it really is .. and homemade noodles are really good, not just filler like the ones from the market. ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars Okay for the price *by E***K on Reviewed in the United States on January 27, 2016* We make homemade noodles at home a lot. I have a Kitchen Aid attachment to roll out the dough but didn't want to purchase their $100 cutter as well so I went with this tool.At first it didn't work at all. The round pieces wouldn't twirl, even with a lot of pressure. We oiled the joints of the items with olive oil and then it worked a little better. We were able to cut the noodles pretty well with the rotating piece on this only getting stuck a few times. This thing is crap. Right out of the box the wheels don't turn freely, they turn a little then grind then turn a little then grind. I look and noticed that some of the wheels are touching the sides. I tried to bend the wheels a little and it seemed to help. By the way I bought 2 of them, the 2nd one was a little better. Once I made the dough I found out that these things don't cut. They are not sharp and you have to push real hard to get them to cut. But if you push hard then the wheels don't turn they slide. I'm sure I could maybe change the dough recipe to get it to where this tool works, but it's so cheap and I can tell it will break soon. I didn't bother returning I just threw them in the garbage.
