## Description

byecold 580W Far Infrared Heater with Built-in Thermostat Remote Control, Wall Mounted Heater Panel Low Energy Infrared Electric Heater for Room : desertcart.co.uk: Home & Kitchen

Review: So far so good - works well and cheap to run - Had this a couple of months now and used it reasonably regularly. I got the 60x80 size one for a smallish office which I built in part of my garage. It puts out enough heat to warm the room quite well - from completely cold it takes an hour or so to really get the room warm, but it does work and only uses at most 400W - we have solar so if the sun is out, it's basically free. The remote on this is great - lots of features and info shown, the thermometer seems fairly accurate, and makes it easy to use (I did look at some other makes that had wifi build in but couldn't really see much point in paying for the gimmick). Fitting it to the wall was a bit fiddly - the paper template is a great inclusion, but actually getting it to hook onto all 4 screws simultaneously took about 20 minutes of attempts! Pleased with it so far.
Review: Quiet efficient heating, but don't expect rapid heating. - Due to the pandemic I like many others have been working from home. In my case from my reasonable well insulated shed. My existing fan heater was keeping me warm, but was noisy and proving expensive to run. With all wall space used up my options were limited. The heater has proved to be very effective and once up to temperature maintains a steady heat. It's not good at instantly warming it up, but the timer and temperature controls can be set up so that my work space is cosy for when I start. I would definitely recommend buying this or another similar one with the remote control which sets the time and temp and is also the thermostat. I am enjoying the peace and quiet and the gently sunshine like heat.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: I saw it needs to be 30cm away from any objects. This will be placed 50cm away from the bedside, if touched by accident will it burn skin?**
A: There is no requirement to be 30cm away from the object, just do not cover up the heater when it is working, it will not burn the skin if touched by accident, but it should be kept away from children, pls read all safety warnings before your use.

**Q: Is it possible to paint the panel or to use a mural type sticker potentially cover up the panel to improve the appearance?**
A: You would need to ask the manufacturer but I doubt it as front panel gets hot

**Q: Would this work well in a conservatory will a shallow insulated wall**
A: No I have just bought one for the same job and it won't get above 15 degrees with it on constantly and doors closed. It gets extremely hot to touch aswell u wish in the item description it had a better description of where it would work well or poorly and to say it's good for a baby room is bad

**Q: Can you control this without the app (eg if internet is offline)?**
A: You can if your still on the network... With the app. Otherwise it's the switch at the plug.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Quiet efficient heating, but don't expect rapid heating.

### ⭐⭐⭐ Not sure of heat output
*by D***N on 7 December 2022*

Love having a remote rather than WiFi app. Not sure of heat output, use in my iffuce at home room in house, and even though sat 4ft away, I'm still cold. Nearer I.e 2ft can feel the heat, don't really think the idea was to sit 2ft away from it.
