If so, then you don’t need this parallel to ethernet adapter. Plug the Ethernet cable directly into the P8000. If your P8000 ethernet port is not working, and you have the optional parallel port on the P8000, then you should be able to use this adapter to connect your P8000 to the network via an Ethernet cable to your router. **Q: I have an old 25 pin parallel port printer. Helps to know a little about ip addresses and setting up hardware that use ip addresses ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Had problems with the software *by M***. on February 9, 2025* hardware works great and hooked up directly to my old HP 6MP printer which I use to print envelopes and labels. however the software was glitchy and somehow interfered with my other printers. I ended up not using the software, the main reason for using it is to reset the IP address that comes with the adapter. After that I had to manually set the TCP/IP ports on my printer drivers. Worked ok after that, I still need to get my Macs to print.
